InspireHealth’s Inspired to Move Virtual Fundraiser

Inspired to Move is a unique opportunity for the public to sample from a variety of classes normally available only to InspireHealth patients. The classes include meditation, 80s tunes cardio, yoga, cooking, and more (please see full class list below).
Since Spring 2020, InspireHealth has worked hard to continue and expand much-needed supportive cancer care by offering extensive virtual programs and services for cancer patients throughout the pandemic. As one of our largest annual fundraisers, Inspired to Move is a key source of revenue for our organization. Your support by joining us for a class or two (or more!) and making a gift in honour of supportive cancer care, makes all the difference.
Please join us by inviting your friends and family to participate in one of our fun and engaging class offerings aimed at supporting
both physical and mental health.

Please note that exercise classes are modifiable for all fitness levels.
Morning Meditation with Tara D.
8:45 – 9:15 am
Increase connection through breath and mindfulness. This guided meditation class will begin with intention setting, followed by a body scan, breath work and thought observation practice, ending with loving kindness.
Strength & Stretch with Steph G.
9:30 – 10:30 am
Build strength, endurance, and flexibility. This class will include a combination of resistance, balance, and aerobic movements to provide a full body workout.
* Please have a chair, wall, and weights or alternatives (e.g. water bottles, soup cans) nearby.
Mindful Eating & High-Protein Snacks with Shannon S. & Erin R.
11:00 am – 12:00 pm
This class will begin with a 30-minute discussion on tips for staying mindful when preparing and eating food, followed by a 30-minute cooking class incorporating a balanced smoothie and quick, high protein energy snack balls.

Gentle Yoga with Reegan G.
12:15 – 1:00 pm
Experience the connection between breath and movement while taking the time to relax and gently stretch the body. Move through a series of seated, standing, and balance postures, followed by restorative relaxation time.
Creativity for Well-being with Fiona T.
1:30 – 2:30 pm
Explore how art can revive and inspire by briefly learning about the research surrounding creativity and wellness, followed by a guided creative art exercise. No art experience necessary!
* Please have paper and pens nearby. Pencil crayons and felt pens may be helpful, but not required.
80’s Tunes Cardio with Erin P.
4:00 – 5:00 pm
Channel your best inner Madonna and Tiffany for this fun hour! Elevate your heart rate and get your body moving while jamming out to ‘80s tunes. This class focuses on aerobic movements while incorporating strength exercises to provide a full-body conditioning workout. Extra points for neon-coloured headbands and/or leg warmers!
Guided Meditation with Tracy B.
7:00 – 7:45 pm
Soothe the heart, body, mind, and spirit with this guided meditation practice incorporating various mindfulness techniques, such as intention setting, body scans, breath work, and thought watching, combined with the sweetness of silence.
Your support is integral in allowing InspireHealth to accommodate the increasing demand for online health care services during this time.
We continue to see double the annual number of patient visitations since COVID-19 began.
