In our October 28th Update, SISU spoke to why they have chosen to align themselves with InspireHealth. This was the first in a series of articles where we are inviting partners, such as SISU and Choices Markets, to share the vision that brought us together, the initiatives on which we are partnering, and ultimately how this partnership will benefit you as a member of the InspireHealth community. Stay tuned as more partner installments come your way!
InspireHealth partners with Choices to offer nutrition tours
In recent years, Choices Markets has partnered with InspireHealth because of a mutual goal to improve the health and well-being of our community. We had seen the programs offered by InspireHealth and were impressed by the expertise and the initiative they had taken in guiding Canadians in cancer prevention. To help InspireHealth reach a greater number of citizens, we chose to support their programs by collaborating with them on numerous fundraising campaigns, including the November 2nd Vitamin D Day campaign.
We believe that the best place to educate individuals about food, nutrition and health is at the grocery store. This is where we all make the first decision about what to put into our bodies for sustenance and health. However, with thousands of foods and products to choose from, it can be overwhelming for people to decide what is most important for their health and that of their family.
To support the InspireHealth community, Choices is pleased to offer an exciting new service. Beginning on Friday November 26th, we will be providing complimentary nutrition tours on a biweekly basis to InspireHealth members. The key food and nutrition teachings will be put into practice at the grocery store with our registered dietitian, and participants can learn practical tips and techniques for incorporating more healthful foods into their life while gaining awareness about the foods they should be cautious towards. To register for a tour, contact the InspireHealth reception staff today by calling 604-734-7125 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject ‘Choices tour’.
Stay tuned for shopping tips, frequently asked questions and highlights from Our Dietitian’s Top Choice program. Choices staff is also looking forward to InspireHealth month in April at Choices Markets. This month-long event will focus on the most important foods you can eat for cancer prevention and treatment. This campaign will increase awareness about the vital knowledge and expertise of InspireHealth and their place at the forefront of health prevention in Canada.
I look forward to seeing you.
