InspireHealth

“InspireHealth provides an opportunity to inform and centre you. To equip you to make the changes to your lifestyle where required …it is an amazing program that has helped me immensely in my recovery.”

Our goal is simple – to provide the best care possible for people living with a diagnosis of cancer, and we will work together with you, your family doctor and oncologist. All our services, programs and classes are completely free of charge.  No referral is required.

Since 1997, we have provided programs and services to enhance quality of life, health and well-being of people living with cancer and their families. Our cancer rehabilitation services support and educate people during and after cancer treatments. We offer practical and personalized exercise therapy, stress management, nutrition and counselling services.

Our members can select from an extensive selection of programs and services. Our signature two-day LIFE Program or the online LIFE Program modules provide the foundation. Consultations with our health professionals support your health, answer your questions and provide you with the information you need to make decisions about your health. Our classes provide ongoing support and knowledge and take into account each participant’s unique circumstances.

The Benefits of Supportive Cancer Care

We offer options for better health and a better recovery. Growing scientific evidence confirms that stress reduction, eating a healthy diet, exercise and a positive support network can substantially improve quality of life and optimize recovery and survival, while reducing the risk of recurrence.
We can provide you with the knowledge, tools and services to support your overall health during and after cancer treatment. Our doctors value standard cancer treatments, and will work with you, your family doctor and oncologist to provide the best cancer care possible.

“InspireHealth was somewhere to go, somewhere to call – it gave me what was missing when I was going through treatment. I was won over by their quality of care – I was blown away.”

There are many sources of ‘externally-created’ There are many sources of ‘externally-created’ stress in our lives, especially during these restrictive times.

For example, our increased exposure to mass media can unconsciously sap our energy and have negative impacts on our lifestyle.

Fortunately, there are some simple solutions that we can use:

* Be discerning about what we choose to watch and read
* Read books and articles that celebrate human nature
* Remove ourselves from negative TV and social media imagery
* Spend socially distant/online time with those we enjoy

Let's be sure to watch for and minimize our external stressors. Most of us can be unaware of the degree to which we are affected by them.
