Interest in integrated cancer care is growing as an increasing body of medical research is confirming that this integrative approach is the future of cancer care and prevention. Interest is especially growing in Kamloops. In April, 2008 when Dr. Teresa Clarke spoke in Kamloops many people were turned away due to high demand and a related public talk in March of 2009 attracted 180 people.
To address this growing need InspireHealth physician, Dr. Teresa Clarke is returning to Kamloops from October 5th to 9th, 2009 to expand cancer patient access and educate more health professionals about integrated cancer care. The project is a five-day series of patients visits and public, medical and cancer care community seminars designed to engage the community and surrounding region in cancer prevention and integrated cancer care. What is unique about this visit is that Dr. Clarke will be presenting for the first time outside Vancouver, InspireHealth’s signature program, the LIFE Program. This presentation will take place on October 5th for cancer patients and their support persons.
