On October 23, 2007, the InspireHealth Society officially launched the InspireHealth Legacy Foundation which will oversee all fundraising activities for the Society.
The InspireHealth Legacy Foundation has assembled a dynamic group of local business leaders including Kathy McLaughlin, Sandra Abraham, Jacquie Forbes-Roberts and Martin Addison, three members of the IH board, Brian Josling, Joan Harrison and Jim Romano and InspireHealth Co-Founder and CEO, Dr. Hal Gunn.
The current system is unsustainable, creating a need to demonstrate strong leadership in cancer prevention and health care. InspireHealth wants to create this shift towards a broader approach that supports the mind, body and spirit in overall cancer treatment.
InspireHealth's vision is to change the way that cancer patients are treated in British Columbia so that cancer patients will immediately become informed about an integrated approach to cancer treatment—one that focuses on health, healing and recovery.
Our goal over the next five years is to provide integrated cancer care to all cancer patients treated in British Columbia. Our long-term goal is to promote and participate in the creation of an integrated health care system that is economically sustainable and to achieve recognition as a national centre for excellence in health and integrative medicine.
We invite you to support InspireHealth's work and vision. Please become a founding donor of the InspireHealth Legacy Foundation helping us reach our goal of $3.6 million. Let your personal legacy be one of hope and health.
InspireHealth is funded by donors, both individuals and corporations, passionate about making a difference in our health care system. There are many different donation options available. You can donate online here.
What is Planned Giving? Planned gifts are a variety of charitable giving methods that allow you to express your personal values by integrating your charitable, family and financial goals. Planned gifts can be made with cash, but many planned gifts are made by donating assets such as real estate, stocks, art pieces, or business interests; the possibilities are endless. Charitable planned gifts can provide valuable tax benefits. The most frequently-made planned gifts are bequests, made through your will. Other popular planned gifts include charitable gift annuities, life insurance policies, and endowments.
Please make your cheque payable to InspireHealth Legacy Foundation. For questions, kindly contact Stephanie Klaus, Development Manager at 604-734-7125 (ext 350), or at sklaus@inspirehealth.ca. Thank you for your support and contributions.
